+ Add your review- I’m always searching for an anti-virus program that can be applied on more than one device, because I not only have 3 PCs, but also have a media server and a WHS. AVG is the one. Though the instructions are complex, the actual operation is easy and handy. I use remote administration (avg_rad) piece on media server and end PC piece (avg_ipw) on my computers. There are 32bit and 64bit versions for you to choose, make the right selection according to your cases. I can view each computer’s status and control them from remote administration desktop. According to the instruction, if I want to update my computers, I can do it from local server, without referring to AVG. But it may be a little complicated as the manual describes, so I haven’t tried it yet. Theoretically, it can work independently on multiple computers without the server piece, but it failed in my case and I don’t know why. I can’t give too many tech reviews on the software, so far, it has done a good job and I’ve been an old user of AVG products. Except for some little widgets, I haven’t been bothered by any bloat. Once I closed those widgets, they never appear again. So no bother from bloat for me actually. All in all, it’s worth buying.Reply
- AVG AntiVirus Business Edition can work/update well on server and each computer separately. However, when I initially intended to install it on server and centrally control all computers for my business, it is too difficult for me to handle, so I turned to an IT man for help. What’s worse, after the program is set up, I found everything is largely slowed down with the central control function, so I had to give up central control and manage it separately.
