As long as new data is written to the disk, the file copy will be asynchronously copied to the preset backup location. Therefore, CDP can provide complete file version control without interrupting users' normal work to complete excellent recovery operations. Another one is for users to customize the specific backup time interval and automatically perform data backup at intervals of 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, or daily. It takes only one copy of duplicated files for space-saving, and there is no slowdown or alert to your computers when you are playing PC games or watching movies.

+ Add your review- I have to admit, I'm partial to software 'genie'-named, as I had file versioning 'FileGenie' for decades, but alas, it's has fallen behind the times, with frequent error messages (having nothing to do with its intrinsic task of backing up BTW.) I've had Timeline only a few weeks now, in its free setup, and it has done its job so far impeccably. It's certainly 'with the times'! But I haven't needed it so far in its backup function (fortunately). One point is though, that it needed literally days to complete the initial backup job, which is even longer than various other users have mentioned in reviews; may be it's due to the uncompressed option I used. But to me it's a minor complaint.Reply

You may, of course, search by file name, but if you're not sure which version you want or even whether that version exists, you may drag a slider back through time to check for files as granularly as half an hour. Most people can remember at least vaguely the last time they had a good copy of a file, so being able to scroll back through time can be exceedingly helpful.Reply

- Genie Timeline Home is a home-use tool. It helps me run backups as planned. It can save the files every 30 minutes (but the free version does this every 8 hours). It can recover files even when there is a disaster, I can recover my computer even when windows is not working. I can compress the backups to save space. In Game/Movie mode, it will reduce alerts. Though it’s home edition, it can be used for small business as well.Reply
