A hidden note management software on MAC, suitable for storing some temporary notes or ideas. Support pictures, task lists and more.
Apptorium has produced many small but beautiful apps, such as ScreenFocus, Expressions, and more. The newest app, SideNotes, is an efficient sidebar note-taking app that allows you to quickly take notes and inspiration without having to switch back and forth between windows.
SideNotes offers two ways to call out notes and multiple ways to hide them. In addition, you can freely choose between Open Bar and Hot Side to call out notes in the settings.
Open Bar can be understood as a button trigger, this mode will place a long translucent button at the edge of your screen, and the notes interface will slide out when you click it. The hot side can be understood as a hot zone trigger, and this mode will not have any buttons. When the cursor moves to the edge of the screen, the notes interface will slide out automatically.
There are various ways to hide it, and users can actively click the button to hide it or slide the two-finger trackpad horizontally to hide it. In the hot zone triggered mode, in addition to the horizontal swipe, when the cursor is not in the notes interface application will automatically hide, not at all disturb your original work.
Unlike conventional note-taking applications, the SideNotes interface is purely card-based, with two main interfaces, folder list, and note list. The first thing you can see is the folder list, where you can categorize your notes and then click on the folder to see a notecard with almost no extra elements to interfere with the core function of "Quick Notes."
The note-taking process with SideNotes is very simple: you call up the main interface, click the plus sign in the upper right corner, and then enter the text in one go. Quick note-taking ensures that important information and inspiration are not missed. Also, using gestures, you don't need to switch windows, and it won't affect your ongoing work.
